Renowned for her groundbreaking installations and sculptures, Louise Bourgeois was—and still is, through her work—one of the most influential women of the art world. The National Gallery of Modern Art presents a selection of some of the artist’s key works, such as Cell (Eyes and MIrrors) and Spiral Woman. Bourgeois, using her past experiences as her medium of choice, produces a body of work that acts as a tangible representation of the artist’s internal world, while challenging the viewer to recollect and confront fragments of his own past.
